Who We Are: The Penn Hills Rising Committee supports the PHCDC by planning and executing tasks associated with the Penn Hills Rising community census initiative.
The community census, scheduled to take place in the second half of 2022, is a project aimed at engaging the community to complete the census questionnaire in an effort to accurately detail the wants and needs of Penn Hills residents. Using this valuable data, the PHCDC will create, or work with other community organizations to deliver, programs that address the needs identified by the community census.
What We Do: This is a hands-on committee that oversees the Penn Hills Rising initiative, specifically the short-term goals surrounding the census project. This includes promotion of the PH Rising initiative, hiring and scheduling of the census-taker team, promoting the online census via social media and print media, and communicating project status with the community.
