Leadership Pittsburgh to Present its Penn Hills Community Impact Project

Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) is a program of Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. that is designed to cement rising Pittsburgh leaders’ skills and engagement with the community and our neighborhoods.  The Community Impact Project is a hands-on project which immerses this group of high-potential leaders in service to neighborhoods of significance to the region while providing the leaders an opportunity for skill practice in very real ways.

Forty-eight participants were selected through a highly competitive process to participate in Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) – a community leadership development program for emerging leaders – and have worked with representatives from Penn Hills to better understand the needs of the community in relation to the Penn Hills Shopping Center and create a comprehensive plan that can serve as a playbook for future revitalization and redevelopment of the Shopping Center.

LDI XXIX looks forward to thanking all the community members and leaders (especially the Penn Hills CDC) for welcoming the class into their community and sharing the results of their work. Please do consider joining to encourage them and ask questions that can be incorporated into any future planning by the Penn Hills CDC and others in the community.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, May 19th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Penn Hills Government Center on Duff Road.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Sarah Jugovic at Sarah@lpinc.org or 412-392-4518.
