Tariq Williams

Tariq works for Neighborhood Allies as the Program manager for Real Estate services where he develops curriculums and manages logistics for community workshops, tracking impact for programs such as the Centralized Real Estate Accelerator and Neighborhood Capital Fund. Tariq ensures that community developers and business owners can forge long-term outcomes designed to benefit all residents.

Tariq is experienced in program coordination and grassroots organizing. As a program coordinator, he excelled in creating lasting alumni and instructor relationships, engaging in data-driven decision-making, and implementing CRM technology for data management. As a SEIU Organizer, he successfully cultivated strong community relationships and formed strategic alliances with local leaders and organizations, enhancing the organization’s collective advocacy for workers’ rights and boosting union membership at the same time. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in supporting and campaigning for local officials who championed workers’ rights and healthcare issues, contributing to their election victories and aligning SEIU’s cause with local politics.

Tariq has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
